Description

Do you own a special object that you’d like to preserve for years to come? Items like antiques, fine jewelry, wedding dresses and more can be kept safe from the harmful environment by storing them in a safe, padded, acid-free box. At this workshop led by Molly Brown House Museum Curator, Stephanie McGuire, you’ll learn some tips and tricks for proper preservation of objects based on the methods used to protect Margaret Brown’s own belongings, and you’ll make your very own museum-approved box! You’ll leave with the knowledge and skills to make boxes for all your preservation needs.

We will be making 8.5” x 11.5” x 6” boxes, so feel free to bring along any object smaller than this to create a custom mount for it! This size box works great for shoes, small hats and other smaller items.

If you are having trouble logging in, call (303) 534-5288 ext. 7.
